I met the Jacques family at Riverside park for some fun candids today. It’s getting scarce to find great shooting spots in the parks but I found an area that still had leaves on the trees. Their son was more interested in running around in the leaves versus sitting down and getting his picture taken by me. With a lot of running around by me and chasing their son thru the leaves was I able to get a couple of great images of the family in this brightly colored area of the park.

I recently met Tori and her parents at Riverside park for some fun portraits. Tori is an aspiring model and they asked me to shoot some fun candids of Tori as well any that she could use on a new comp card. We took a lap around the park and I think we came away with some really fun stuff. Here are a handful from Tori’s shoot…

You might recognize Ashley from a photo shoot last winter where I shot images of her and her sister Allyson. They were the ones wearing the cool Ugg boots (image below).
Ashley, her mother and I met in Riverside park where the light was amazing since it was overcast out. I was a little surprised at how chilly it was but that didn’t stop us from getting some really cool images for Ashley’s senior portfolio. Here are a handful of my favs from today’s shoot…

Today I had the opportunity to photograph Barry & Kim’s engagement session. We met up at Riverside Park and thought it would be fun to just walk around and take some fun candids. They were a hoot to be around and I think we walked away with some very fun images. Here are a handful of my favorites:

I want to thank Cheryl for assisting me with my lighting again.
I decided to take advantage of the snow that had fallen from yesterdays snowstorm and see what kind of winter pics I could come up with on another one of my photowalks.

I put together a little Strobist lighting kit and headed to Riverside Park to play lighting assistant for Kevin Brown of Kevin L. Brown Photography.
My set-up included a mono-pod, Canon 580 EX II, a Quantum Turbo SC batter pack, a pocket wizard, umbrella adaptor with hotshoe attachment, a small shoot thru umbrella and a bungee ball to keep the battery attached to the mono-pod.
Thanks to Kevin for passing on these fun cool photos

Wichita received a pretty good snowfall the other night and I had felt the need to go out in it, freeze my butt off and see if I could find anything “artsy” for my portfolio. Here are some images from Naftzger Park, downtown Wichita, Keeper of the Plains, Riverside Park and pigeons hanging out on a bridge…

We shot Cory & Bianca’s wedding this summer and we really enjoyed hanging out with them on their wedding day. The highlight of their big day was stopping by Northrock Lanes for them to bowl a frame since they’re professional bowlers. They’re really a lot of fun to hang out with and this photo session still shows that they are really in love and playing is still a big part of their lives. We started at the Keeper of the Plains statue for some quick candids and then it was off to Riverside Park. I just let them be them and tried to keep up.
