Trisha is looking to get into modeling and was needing images for her portfolio. The shoot was fun, and if she’s never modeled before then she’s a natural as she had no problem posing or following my directions. Here are some new images from that photo session.

Photographing the Arnett family is always a lot of fun. It was pretty windy outside, so we decided to have their portrait session inside at the studio. Here are a handful of images from their shoot…
(the last image was thrown in for fun as Logan was having a meltdown in the little car he discovered he would play in)

Gotta love outtakes!

Danielle stopped by the studio for a “belly” session since she is pretty close to her due date (I believe she said she was a week or so away). We were trying to find a place that had good window light but the weather had been spotty the past 2 weeks so I decided to create a window in the studio to shoot these images with. Danielle was an absolute hoot to photograph and I wish her a successful pregnancy. Here are a couple of my faves from her session…

Creating the window was pretty easy. Just some curtains from the Big Box store and then adding 4 lights behind for even lighting.
Here are some images of Stacie’s Pug – Lola. These were taken at the studio while Stacie was out of town.
Patience was definitely a key here as I needed to wait for Lola to hear something or for me to make the right noise to get the look I was waiting for.

I had a photo shoot today with a couple of very energetic dogs… Buddy & Emily. Once they were used to the studio, it became easier to photograph them and their family that brought them. Here are two of my favorite images from their shoot:

Here’s an image of my friend Rachel that I took for the cover of a local magazine. Its a one light set up: one Alien Bee 800 with a medium Octobox (camera left) and a black piece of foam core (camera right). I positioned Rachel to catch a small portion of the Octobox in her sunglasses for added effect.

Here are some head shots I photographed for a local salon. I thought they had come up with some pretty cool ideas with hair and make-up. Here’s some of my favorites:

Alyson and Ashley wanted some fun pictures as a Christmas present for their mother. We kicked around a couple of ideas, and for the most part I just let them be the lovable sisters that they are. Here are some fun shots from their photo session:

My old roommate from college, who is now a teacher and a coach in Pretty Prairie, came to Wichita with his wife Shelly and the kids to have family pictures taken. His kids have grown so much. The funny one in the group is their littlest one – Tia. She’s pretty ornery, just like Shane was back in college. Here are some fun ones from their shoot (even with Tia giving me “jazz hands” for the family photo):
